Signs of impending doom?

I'm supposed to hop on a plane tomorrow morning. I just found out that United screwed up & dropped my seat assignment. The people on the phone were completely unhelpful, wouldn't admit that their company had made any mistake, and said that they couldn't do anything about it. So, I'll probably be stuck in a middle seat.

I was supposed to have lunch with a friend in the city today, but he didn't show. I hope that he's alright. [Edited: He's OK, just got stuck in lines at Kaiser]

I figured that since I was in the city, I'd swing by Sorrento & say "hi" to enhydrasf. Not that having a (mostly) complete stranger saying "hi" would help, but I thought it might help him to know that even people he doesn't really know think that he's a good guy, and are saddened by what he's been going through lately. Did I mention that he wasn't there?

Seems like nothing is going right today. Maybe I should just stay home this weekend.
