(no subject)

rfrench tagged me with this. I was going to ignore him (I've got lots of practice ignoring him). Then I thought about doing it, but making it only readable by him. I finally decided that it might be interesting to some folks. I refuse to tag anyone else, though, but if you (the reader) insist on perpetuating chain letters, add a comment tagging yourself if that will make you feel better.


1) Total number of films we own on DVD/video:

I don't know how I would separate out mine vs. Mark's, so I just answer as "we" own about 100 DVDs and probably 40 tapes (slowly replacing the tapes with DVDs). We've gotten rid of all the Laserdiscs!

2) The last film I bought:

The "Thin Man" series on DVD -- actually, a pre-order, it's available in Aug.

3) The last film I watched:

Bear Cub -- it's a well made movie about a gay man and his nephew. More of a drama than a comedy (although it starts out like a comedy).

4) Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:

1. Field of Dreams (see earlier posting about this)
2. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (pure musical pap, but I love it)
3. The Thin Man (the original, and the first sequel -- which takes place in SF -- are my favorites)
4. Chicago
5. Longtime Companion
